Orders for the Intraday Auction can be submitted either directly in the platform or via Excel sheets.

1. How to place orders

To place bids directly in the platform, click the "Add Curve" or "Add Block" button from the home screen as highlighted in the screenshot below.

To place orders you need to fill in delivery day, which portfolio and area to bid in, and the bids themselves. Click "Save" to send in your bids to Nord Pool. How to send in bids are more thoroughly explained in point a) Curve orders, b) Block Orders, and c) Profile Block Orders.


a) Curve Orders

See picture below with accompanying explanations for available options when sending in Curve Orders.

  1. Date / portfolio / area picker
    Click on the date to choose delivery date for your bids in the drop down menu.
    Click on Select Portfolio to choose which portfolio to place bids for.
    Click on Select Area to choose delivery area for your bids.

  2. From Clipboard
    Click Ctrl+V to paste bid matrix from your computer's clipboard to the currently chosen day

  3. Export
    Click to download your current bids as an Excel file.

  4. Save / Close
    Click Save to submit your bids to Nord Pool and close the window. This option is only visible after changes have been made to the bids.
    Click Close to close the window. If you have made any bids, you get the choice to save your changes or close window without submitting the orders.

  5. At ref. price
    The reference price is used as a basis for comparing the orders placed today with previously placed orders, and for use when giving you a graphic representation of what your realized volume would be if the area prices are similar to the selected reference day. Today's prices will be used as default when placing orders for tomorrow. Click on the gear to choose a different reference day.

  6. Price steps
    Customize your own bids by adding your own price steps with the "+" sign on the right side.
    Max/min price (-500€/3000€) are mandatory price steps and cannot be deleted.

  7. Volumes
    For each price steps, fill in desired volumes. Negative numbers (-) for sell bids, positive numbers for buy bids.
    Empty fields are read as zero by the application.


b) Block Orders

See picture below with accompanying explanations for available options when sending in Block Orders.

  1. Date / portfolio / area picker
    Click on the date to choose delivery date for your bids in the drop down menu.
    Click on the portfolio name to choose which portfolio to place bids for.
    Click on the area to choose delivery area for your bids.

  2. From Clipboard
    Click to paste bids from your computer's clipboard to the currently chosen day.

  3. Export
    Click to download your current bids as an Excel file.

  4. Add Block
    Click to make a new block bid. A new window pops up:
    Name: User-defined name of the block (maximum 25 characters).
    From/To: Start/end time of the Block Order (field is format flexible, you can either type 1, 01 or 01:00).
    Price: Bid Price for the Block Order.
    Volume: Volume for the Block Order (Positive (+) numbers for buy bids, negative (-) for sell bids).
    Once all information is filled in, the "Done" button will be enabled. Click "Done" to go back to the Block Order screen.

  5. Submitted Blocks

    On the far right end the following symbols are shown:
    The pencil: Click to update the currently chosen bid in a pop-up window
    The two papers: Click to copy the currently chosen bid. A pop-up window appears with a copy of the bid with the possibility to do changes before saving.
    The x: Click to delete the currently chosen bid.

  6. Save / Close
    Click Save to submit your bids to Nord Pool and close the window. This option is only visible after you have inserted orders.
    Click Close to close the window. If you have made any bids, you get the choice to save your changes or close without submitting the orders to Nord Pool.


c) Profile Block Orders

After filling in bids as shown in point 1b), click on the "Add Profile" button as highlighted below.



Fill in the specific volume for each hour in the pop up fields under the graphic representation of the block to make a profile block.

Click "Done" to save your changes.


2. How to update orders

To update orders, simply click on the portfolio from the main screen, update your orders, and click "Save".

To verify that the order was correctly updated, click on the portfolio again to see the updated bids.


3. How to delete orders

To delete portfolio orders, go to the home screen and click on the x as shown in picture below. Confirm removal of bids in the following pop-up window.

To delete all orders, click on the x on the top row and confirm in the following pop-up window.
