Is there any environment I can test the Auction API?
Yes, in addition to the Production environment, we have a Member test environment to try out the Auction API. Please see API documentation here. We run test auctions daily, both for CWE and UK day ahead.
What is the difference between the new Auction API (JSON) and Day Ahead API (XML)
The new Auction API is a JSON based REST API that supports both order entry and trade
capture. Auction API is for the new Auction platform and Day Ahead API is for the previously used Day Ahead Web.
Note: The Day Ahead Web and the Day Ahead API (XML) were discontinued on 16 March 2022 and are no longer in use. Please use the Auction API for all auctions in all markets.
Will the Day Ahead XML API be available after the migration?
The current Day Ahead XML API will not function following the migration on 16 March 2022.
The new Auction API is already live and in use across all Nordic & Baltic auction, CWE auctions, Poland auction, GB Half Hourly Auction and SEM-GB Intraday auctions.
