SDAC 15-minute Member Test 

The SDAC 15 minute Day-ahead Auction will go-live in production on 11 June 2025, for delivery day on 12 June 2025.  

Note: The go-live is pending successful testing by all parties and the approval of the Market Coupling Steering Committee (MCSC). Updates on the progress towards go-live will be posted on the Nord Pool website and further project details can be found from from the links here:

In Production, the SDAC Auctions will be run once per day as follows

• Gate closure time (GCT) 12:00 CET/CEST
• Delivery 00:00 - 24:00 the following day

Available Products

The SDAC Auction offers products with resolution of 15, 30 or 60 min Market Time Units (MTU) in all bidding zones.

 In our SDAC Test Auction we offer curve and block orders submitted directly in our web platform or uploaded via Excel sheets.

• Curve orders are described here. One curve order is permitted in each area per portfolio.
• Block orders are described here. The auction supports normal block orders, profile blocks and linked blocks.  
• Exclusive group orders and Flexible Orders are described: Exclusive Groups and Flexible Orders 

Note:  Always check the Product Specifications on the Nord Pool website under Rules and Regulations for latest information on order types, portfolio restrictions and number of orders supported per Market.

Getting started

To get started, please follow these steps:

1. Make sure your user is enabled for the auction (contact [email protected] if you need access)
2. Visit the platform following the system links at the bottom of this page
3. Insert your username and password to log in (click here help to login)
4. Start sending in orders, see User Guide at the bottom of this page

Testing in the Nord Pool - Member Test environment (MT)

The table below represents auctions that are available MT and this is the view that will be in place in at SDAC 15-min MTU go-live (and for the start of the Joint Member Test Period).  See those cells in the table below highlighted with red borders

Note:  Auctions only supporting 60-minute will be discontinued in Production and in MT after SDAC 15-minute go-live.  See those cells in the table below with grey shading

Important Notice

Nord Pool is improving the handling of multi-resolution portfolios (15, 30, and 60-minute MTUs).

• Once the Joint Member Test begins on 7 April 2025: All portfolios will automatically support multi-resolution MTUs (15, 30, and 60 minutes). This will also apply in production at the SDAC 15-minute MTU go-live.
  
  
• In MT, before the Joint Member Test begins: To test QH auctions with a 15-minute resolution, please contact [email protected] to enable your portfolios. The temporary restriction requiring a fixed MTU per portfolio will be lifted once multi-resolution support is enabled at the start of the Joint Member Test.
